Allure of the Seas cabins and suites
She loves to get active while at port, whether cycling through mountains in the Caribbean or scuba diving under the sea. As someone who cruises frequently, it was refreshing to see a range of dining options on Allure of the Seas not found as commonly on other Royal Caribbean ships. I preferred my meals at Samba Grill and Sabor on Allure of the Seas much more than my dining experience at Wonderland (which can be found on other Oasis Class ships). Before picking a stateroom category for your cruise on Allure of the Seas, it’s important to consider your budget, what you’re looking for in a cruise experience, and which cabin will fit your family best.
The Allure of the Seas Deck Plan Features Distinct Neighborhoods
The line will charge you $15 per bottle as a corkage fee if you consume it outside your stateroom. Passengers may also bring up to 12 cans, bottles or cartons of nonalcoholic beverages like juice or soda. "OceanAria" is a combination of high diving and acrobatics that takes place at the Boardwalk's aft-facing AquaTheater.

From the tallest slide at sea, to culinary concepts that take guests from Japan to Italy to Wonderland, the world’s largest cruise ships are full of adventures guaranteed to wow every kind of explorer. Allure of the Seas shares roughly 95 percent of its DNA with other Oasis-class ships -- including a novel neighborhood concept that divides the ship into seven distinct spaces. It also shares inward-facing balcony cabins, arguably the biggest (and best) kids’ program at sea, an ice rink, a bar that rises between three decks, simulated surfing, rock climbing walls and an outdoor high-diving AquaTheater. These engineering wonders take home awards every year for their cutting-edge design, first-of-their-kind attractions, world class dining and accommodations, and unforgettable experiences.
Grand and junior suites are the smallest options, but still are a step up from what you might get with a standard stateroom. For example, grand suites have large bathrooms with double vanities. Interior staterooms are small, but not cramped, with multiple seating options, such as a couch in one corner and a desk in the other. They can technically fit a traveling family, but you might want to upgrade if you want any privacy or if you anticipate spending more than just nights in your stateroom. In the summer of 2024, it will shift its positioning slightly, offering similar itineraries from Miami. The ship is slated to return to the Mediterranean in the spring of 2025, offering seven-day Mediterranean cruises from Rome and Barcelona.
On top of the vanity, a multi-port set of three North American outlets was set into a round base. However, the cabin had neither a single USB port nor outlets near the beds. Allure of the Seas' entertainment is as varied as its neighborhoods and its passengers.
Ice Skating Rink
Allure of the Seas has an accessible lift at its Main Pool, along with a lift at a nearby hot tub. Not too far from Bow & Stern is the ship's Champagne Bar, which serves exactly what the name implies. Order by the glass or bottle in an intimate setting that feels decidedly French with plush carpeting, blue Chesterfield banquettes and an overhead glass installation that evokes bubbles. (An automatic gratuity will be added.) The line's drink packages don't cover these drinks, but even the basic package will cover similar specialty coffees (made with Starbucks coffee) at nearby Cafe Promenade (see above). In the mornings, Boardwalk Donuts (along the Boardwalk on Deck 6) is stocked with several varieties, including glazed, strawberry and chocolate frosted and cinnamon sugar.

Allure of the Seas itinerary program is based on 7-day Caribbean cruises leaving roundtrip from homeports in Florida USA (Fort Lauderdale or Port Canaveral). In 2015, Allure OTS was deployed in Europe (for the first time) for 7-day Western Mediterranean cruises leaving roundtrip from homeports Civitavecchia-Rome (Italy) and Barcelona (Spain). On repositioning, the ship offers Transatlantic crossings between Europe and Florida. Aft on Deck 6/Boardwalk there is a stern-facing viewing area accessed via a path that circles around the AquaTheater. This "secret area" offers great views of the ship’s wake (trace on the water surface), also provides great views of the entire neighborhood and has a shuffleboard.
The following aerial photo shows an Oasis-class vessel (as looked from above). All Royal Caribbean ships offer North American-style 110-volt outlets and European-style 220-volt outlets in rooms. In my cabin, a duo — one European-style and one North American-style — was hidden under the vanity.
The ship also has two pay-to-play arcades — one near The Living Room and one on the Boardwalk. The space also includes a sizable fitness center with for-fee classes and personal training, along with equipment that's free to use. These include LifeFitness cardio machines, weight machines, free weights, yoga mats, kettlebells and exercise balls.
Make it a night out at the theater and jive to all your favorite ABBA hits in Mamma Mia! Then belt out everything from show tunes to shower tunes karaoke-style at On Air Club. Order your favorite glass of wine at Trellis Bar before salsa stepping all night to live Latin bands at Boleros. Stunning destinations and scene stealing entertainment aren’t the only things to look forward to on your vacation — there’s an adventure for your taste buds, too.
Allure's theater also hosts a rotating battery of limited-run talent. My favorite was MO5AIC, a Las Vegas-based five-man acapella group featuring some of the best vocal talent I've ever heard — including a beatboxer who serves as an entire percussion section using just his throat and mouth. Other bars, which I didn't try, include the Chandon Garden Spritz Bar, which serves light and refreshing Chandon cocktails in Central Park on Deck 8, and a Boardwalk bar that serves Sabor on Deck 6. The menu changes daily — often to feature a set cuisine, such as Italian, Mexican or Caribbean.

The pool deck on Allure of the Seas has three main pools, one pool area for kids, and several jacuzzis. One of the best entertainment features on Allure of the Seas is the full-length Broadway musical, Mamma Mia. This 2.5 hour production is included in your cruise fare and is a highlight of the cruise for many passengers.
