Preceding her in death, were her husband Robert L. Novatnak; great-grandson Brandon Novatnak; brothers John, Albert, Thomas, Joseph, William and Richard Palko. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Wednesday, November 30th from 9 to 11am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, Shenandoah. Burial will immediately follow in the Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Preceding her in death were her husband of 71 years, John P. Cleary, in 2015; a son, John R. Cleary, in 2011; two brothers, Joseph Gauntlett, in 2004, and John Gauntlett, in childhood. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren Anndrea Hodson, Katelyn Borrell, Megan Meyer and Shane Meyer, 4 great grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Church of All Saints, 21 N. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were brothers Francis, George and John and baby sister Rita. John G. Lucas, 70, of West West Terrace, Branch twp., passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2022, with his family by his side at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.

When he returned back to the States, he settled back in his hometown of Brooklyn, N.Y. He secured a position as a butcher by day and a taxicab driver by night. Family and friends also loved to hear these stories of his New York night life. These adventures were highlighted by getting to watch his favorite singer — a young Frank Sinatra — perform live many times in New York. He married his wife, Josephine Cann Castellana, who has since passed away. They had two children while living in New York, but in later years moved to Hazleton to be closer to family.

He was of the Roman Catholic faith and was last employed at Boyers Food Mart, Tamaqua. Ralphie most enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and riding his dirt bike. John was a hard-working man and dedicated husband and father who enjoyed woodworking, reloading and going on trips to Atlantic City with his family. John frequently shared self-curated words of wisdom.

He was a symbol of a man who loves his family and his country. Shawn was the brightest light in every room, with a contagious laugh that will forever ring in the ears of his loved ones. To say that Shawn loved baseball is an understatement. He played Little League, Teener league, high school and Legion baseball.He then continued as a Little League Umpire for the Ashland and Minersville leagues. Mike was employed for Cicioni Radiator of Hazleton for over 30 years.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Weston. She was very involved with her community and enjoyed being social. She liked to spend her time antiquing, gardening and cooking. Friday at Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, with Tom Boyle assisting, 229 W.

She was very active with the Republican Party and was currently serving as a Borough Councilwoman for the town of Shenandoah. She adored her dogs, Dixie, Dakota, and Caesar, along with her 4 feline friends. Born in Newtown on July 20, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Mae Gauntlett. She attended Reilly Township schools and worked in the garment industry. David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City is in charge of arrangements. Stephen is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Borrell, of Pottsville, and Melissa, wife of Vincent S. Meyer, of Pottsville.

Born in Coaldale, PA on December 24, 1955, Rick was the son of the late Harry and Anna Bachman. A 1973 graduate of Tamaqua High School, he served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. Rick worked on the assembly line at the former KME in Nesquehoning, PA prior to retiring in January of 2017. Rick enjoyed being a mechanic but adored his kids and grandkids.
